Introducing The Rackhouse

at Desert Door

The Rackhouse at Desert Door is a newly restored contemporary wedding venue located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country just 30 minutes outside of Austin. Whether you’re planning a wedding rehearsal dinner, private party, corporate event or something else entirely, the Rackhouse can turn your event into a special, one-of-a-kind experience. The space is equipped with modern decor and warm touches, as well as a dramatic 28 foot bar, and both indoor and outdoor seating options. Because of its straightforward rectangular layout, the Rackhouse is infinitely flexible, providing you with a blank canvas to create your perfect event. The indoor space boasts massive steel and glass doors connecting to the new covered, private patio. Once outside, your guests will love the surrounding Hill Country views and industrial design. Set up a small band or DJ in the corner and enjoy cold cocktails under the Big Texas Sky!

*The Tasting Room and Tasting Room Patio are only available after 8pm on the weekends.

Food + Beverage

Below numbers based on the average of three proposals obtained from established caterers.

Food trucks are also popular at this venue, can can be less expensive for a casual affair.

Bar packages are available only through the venue and the only spirit included in event bar packages is Sotol, which is created at the adjoining distillery. Cocktail packages start at $35pp and include a Desert Paloma, seasonal River Rita, and Ranch Water. Wine is provided based on consumption and beer is BYOB.

Additional Rentals

The below estimates are based on proposals from a mid-priced rental store.

The venue provides tables and seating for 50 guests indoors and picnic table seating for 130 outdoors (after 8pm). The below estimate assumes you use the existing tables and chairs available.
