Welcome to Ian’s Chapel, where couples choose from four unique indoor and outdoor event spaces!

Exchange vows on a terrace with stunning Hill Country views, or take your ceremony indoors to a romantic old-world chapel. A dream wedding begins with an unforgettable location and this historical property offers a variety of options.

PRIVATE CHANGING SUITES

Your wedding party is going to swoon over these private beauty and changing suites. The bridal party cabin features a private restroom, outdoor porch, and the perfect setup for your glam team to come in and take over! You will find plenty of mirrors, tall seating, outlets and lighting, allowing everyone to get ready stress-free.

The Groom and his friends will enjoy an equally well-appointed suite. This space comes equipped with comfortable seating and a large outdoor patio overlooking the natural Texas landscape. Groomsmen enjoy yard games or simply relaxing on the tranquil patio before it’s time for the festivities to begin.

CERMEONY SPACES

STONE ARCH OVERLOOK

Ideal for taking in views of the surrounding countryside at sunset, it's hard to find a more idyllic backdrop to exchange your vows than the Great Lawn. Couples love the stone archway and year-round lush landscaping. As a wedding planner I appreciate the stone pavers that protect your guests’ feet despite the weather forecast and allow women to effortlessly walk in heels. Following your ceremony, invite guests to meander through the connecting walkways and water features.  With beautiful year-round landscaping, your guests will gush over the property as they enjoy light bites and refreshing cocktails.

THE PAVILION

Some couples prefer the Pavilion for their outdoor ceremony. This stunning open-air Pavilion is made from rare iron wood timbers of a 1930’s Vietnamese town hall. This space can accommodate up to 200 for an outdoor ceremony, and is also ideal for hosting your cocktail reception.

CHAPEL DOORS

The third outdoor ceremony option is located at the front doors of The Chapel, just below the bell tower. I love how the steps elevate the wedding party so that all guests have an unencumbered view of the nuptials. Many brides opt to arrive at the aisle entrance in an elegant classic car for a dramatic first impression. Regardless of how you arrive, don’t forget to ring the chapel bell to complete your one-of-a-kind ceremony.

THE CHAPEL

If you prefer to plan for a climate-controlled area, or if you simply need a back-up plan in inclement weather, The Chapel is also ideal for indoor wedding ceremonies for up to 170 guests. This 19th century French colonial chapel from Vietnam features neutral colors and tones that make it easy to customize the space to fit your own style and the beautiful columns can be left as-is, or adorned with greenery and floral.

The Chapel was the first venue structure created at Camp Lucy. This building was a Catholic church in Vietnam that was scheduled to be destroyed. The structure is built from Iron wood- one of the strongest woods in nature and therefore cannot be nailed into. Instead the building is fixed together by grooves and locks similar to “Lincoln logs.” Whit Hanks, the founder of Camp Lucy, purchased the structure and transported it back to Texas where it was reassembled piece by piece using an intricate mapping system. This beloved chapel has become a staple of the Camp Lucy property and is ideal for intimate events.

RECEPTION SPACES

EVENTS HALL

When it’s time to go inside for dinner and dancing, your guests will love The Events Hall which was once an Amish barn in the 1800S. This space features a stunning floor-to-ceiling fireplace and maintains historic ties to the underground railroad. Its commanding presence provides picture-perfect settings and a multitude of options for welcoming guests in style. From the multiple rod iron chandeliers and large windows to the large outdoor patio and private garden, the possibilities are endless.

GREAT LAWN

If you prefer to dine alfresco, the Great Lawn can accommodate up to 300. Soak in every last minute of that sunset before heading inside to keep the party going!

Above numbers are based on pricing for a peak season Saturday, but you can find lower venue fees and F&B minimums in the off season or alternative day of the week.

The food and beverage estimate is based on a buffet, with the addition of passed appetizers during cocktail hour, and a full bar that’s middle of the road (not the cheapest, not the most expensive).

We included pricing for a stage and bussing, but if you click on those items, they will delete and update your price! Use this budget tool and make it your own!
